New MPV ProShop was opened at 128 Gloucester Road, Wanchai, HongKong. In June, we participated in 2004 Circus Capitial Stanley Dragon Boat Championships and won the “Best Team Spirit Award”. Dragon Boat Racing had become part of our corporate tradition since then.


Amazingly, we continued to expand our business from Hong Kong to Macau during the economic downturn. The grand opening of Macau showroom was well received by the media and public.


Despite the economic recession in Asia, Richburg continued to excel. We opened one more showroom opened in Kowloon, Hong Kong in October. A month later, Singapore showroom was established. We also brought in the latest models of SMART car directly from Europe.


We participated in the International Motor Show in China displaying the latest Mercedes Pullman AMG, Bently Azure and Ferrari. In November, Teresa, our Director, entered the Macau Super Car Race with her “tuned-up” Ferrari.


We brought in latest models such as Bullet-proof Limousines, Benz and Toyota. We participated in an expedition tour to Silk Road all the way by our Jeep.


We were aware of the upsurge of cross-border traveling, and therefore decided to specialize in the MPV market. It was not only well received by individuals, but also business people who traded in their Rolls Royce and Mercedes to us. We started to hold motor shows displaying brand new Benz, BMW, Toyota, Ferrari and Porsche.


Despite the financial crisis, our sales doubled. We brought in large volume of car at a huge discount that eventually benefited our customers. We were the first car importer to bring in Toyota Century, which was also the choice of our Chief Executive.


We opened our showroom in Wanchai, Hong Kong, and brought in “lifestyle” cars such as Toyota Prado,HiluxSurf, and Landcruiser. We successfully built up a positive image of parallel car importer.


Regulations of Importation was changed, providing independent and parallel importers with more opportunities. We then focused on selling new Mercedes, leading the trend of buying Benz from parallel importers.


As the official dealer of Mercedes Benz, we opened a showroom specializing in German brand used cars. At the end of the year, we were elected as the “Best Used Car Dealer” in Hong Kong by local media.

1992 – 1994

We ventured into Car business by participating in several motor shows as a used car dealer. With only three units on display, we sold nothing at our first show. Although frustrated, we opened our first showroom in Happy Valley, Hong Kong.
